How to become a

Proudface Music Artist

FAQs

What is Proudface Music?

Our proposition is split in two parts -

Copyright-safe music - we distribute copyright-safe music via our artist, Proudface Music, for use by content creators (YouTubers, Twitch streamers etc.). We pay royalties to artists directly through LANDR for anything you share with us that we distribute.

Custom content - this is unique to each client and does not form part of our copyright-safe library (unless we have explicit consent). We acquire clients via direct advertising, but we're also connected with several Proudface companies, e.g., Proudface Marketing (proudfacemarketing.com) that work with esports orgs, content creators and game devs. When they need custom content, we work in partnership with them to produce what they need.

If I release my music through Proudface Music, can I release the song through my own means/ channels?

We take ownership of the master recording and release it as a Proudface Music song (with your name in the credits). We pay royalties for all streams. However, we don't take ownership over the composition, so if you wanted to make a 'new' version and release it on your own, that would be fine. You just wouldn't be able to release (and copyright) the same master recording you provided to us.

How much music should I share with you?

We work with artists to release 1-3 albums (10 tracks each) of the same style/genre as a minimum, which we bundle into a playlist on the major platforms. If you had 10-30 songs like the one you shared that would be perfect. Other than extending it to be ~3 minutes, you wouldn't need to make any further changes.

How can I listen to your music?

Our music can be found on all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Twitch etc.

How can I share samples of my music with you?

Find us on LANDR and send us a message or contact us and we’ll give you access to our public SharePoint site and you can upload your music there.

The style of music I make is different to what is currently in your library - is that ok?

Absolutely. We are always looking to expand Proudface Music’s genres. The only requirement is that your music is not obtrusive - it has to work as background music in a video/podcast/stream.

I use live instruments in my music - is that ok?

Absolutely. The only requirement is that your music is not obtrusive - it has to work as background music in a video/podcast/stream.

Who owns my music when I send it to you?

All music released by Proudface Music is copyright-safe, so once it's released, monetization comes from streaming revenue.

What are you doing to promote Proudface Music?

We have been running Google ad campaign since March 2022, which is driving up our listeners/streams, i.e. people looking for background music for their streams/videos, and we are running a paid social media campaign to further expand our listener base.

Do you offer other services, like videography?

One of our sister companies is a marketing agency who are experts in videography and many other areas.
